Paige Cothren

What does a man do who has achieved the following accomplishments?

Paige Cothren made All Big 8, All State, All South and All American as a high school fullback. Paige made All SEC, All South, and All American as a fullback at Ole Miss. Paige won the Jacoler Blocking Trophy as the best blocker in the SEC at Ole Miss in 1955 and led the SEC in scoring in 1955 (the only time one person has done both). He led the SEC and the nation in field goals kicked and in kick scoring in both 1955 and 1956. He played in the Sugar Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, the College All-Star game, the North-South All-Star game, and the Hula Bowl. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles. Paige led the National Football League in field goals kicked and was second in scoring in 1958. Earned a BBA and Masters Degree, taught college courses, was a college dean of students, founded a counseling center where 1,500 people were counseled per year. He was managing director of a resort and golf club, and owned three supermarkets.

What does this man, who accomplished all of the above, do today? He writes wonderful books! Treat yourself to a journey with Paige through those glory days where determination and pain mixed with a generous dose of humor leap off the pages of Walk Carefully Around the Dead and An Academy Called Pain.
